All information is readily available, but this session is recommended for clarification and the opportunity to ask our directors questions. We can also assist people book their audition time slots during this time.

Thursday February 1 2024 – 6:00pm-8:00pm

Moe Town Hall – 69 Albert Street, Moe

All people auditioning must attend this workshop, in order to be taught the required material for the auditions. The Ensemble Auditions will begin, straight after the workshops.

Wednesday February 7 2024 – 6:00pm-7:00pm

  • Will audition in groups of 10 (approx.)
  • Will sing the specified song from the show
  • Will perform the specified dance/movement
  • Song and dance will be taught at the Audition Workshop.
  • Auditioning for the Ensemble DOES NOT mean you won’t have a features speaking or singing role. There may be some selections of dialogue or singing lines within the show that will not be allocated to cast members until we are into rehearsals.
  • Strongly recommended if this is your first time performing.

As soon as your group has finished the audition you may go home. Parents are invited to remain in the foyer, during the auditions.

Wednesday February 7 2024 – 7:00pm-9:00pm (10 minute appointments)

Saturday February 10 2024 – 10:00am-2:00pm (10 minute appointments)

  • Will individually audition
  • Will perform chosen character dialogue and song from the show.
  • Will sing a song of choice  from any other musical or the like (e.g. Disney film)
    • Please make sure this song choice is appropriate for your age – stay away from shows like Rent of Grease. Age appropriate themes and lyrics.
    • Bring your own backing music on a portable device (iPod, phone or USB drive)
  • Will perform the specified dance/movement
  • Song and dance will be taught at the Audition Workshop, but it is your responsibility to put in the work to learn/practise this in your own time.
  • Please think carefully if a principal audition is right for you/your child.
  • First time people auditioning (ever) are advised to audition in a group/chorus audition only.

We encourage you to arrive at least 15 minutes before your audition time so that you have enough time to prepare yourself.
